In close association with The Stroganoff Foundation in New York, Story Arts Media is translating and re-publishing the definitive history of the Russian Stroganoff family dynasty as written by Sergey Kuznetsov, Curator of the Stroganoff Palace Museum in St Petersburg, Russia. Incorporating memoirs from family members and associates, the book will be released in 2015 as a 500+page collector's print edition and as an enhanced iBook edition for iPad (with bonus videos). The Stroganoff family has its origins in the 14th century, and throughout Russia's history the family's acheivements placed them in positions of exceptional influence, both political and cultural. Throughout the reign of Ivan the Terrible the family, as a private enterprise then brought under the authority of the Crown, increased its land holdings in a staggering expansion of Siberia, and reached an artistic apotheosis in the 18th century. By the late 19th century, the Stroganoffs still enjoyed social and political prestige, and founded a unique school of art in Moscow that exists to this day.
